Salesforce announced new enhancements for Commerce Cloud at NRF 2020

Salesforce has probably stated its first major announcement of 2020 when they introduced new enhancements for Commerce Cloud at National Retail Foundation (NRF) in New York City. 2019 was incredible for Salesforce Commerce Cloud, as over 900M shoppers across 4,200 live sites in 84 countries used the platform.

At NRF 2020, Salesforce has announced new features to help Commerce Cloud customers build excellent commerce experiences with improved scale, flexibility and speed. Commerce Cloud Platform empowers brands with high agility and flexibility that help them offer highly trusted and personalized commerce experience to their customers.

Here are some of the new announcements;

Accelerate headless commerce experiences

In Commerce Cloud, developers used to develop seamlessly with the in-built commerce platform features and productivity tools. Salesforce has introduced a new innovation to advance headless commerce implementations and offer new levels of flexibility and scalability to perform commerce with ease.

With New and enhanced commerce APIs, developers can perform faster development of custom commerce applications that will help brands reach shoppers at every touchpoint more seamlessly. The new MuleSoft Accelerator for Commerce Cloud will ease commerce integrations to boost commerce projects with pre-built integration templates for ERP & PIM.

Developers often need access to resources, best practices, and an engaging community to improve their productivity that will help them lessen the overall development time as well as mitigate risks.

The new Commerce Cloud Developer Center will act as an API community. Developers can use this to quickly discover, share, and build headless commerce experiences. With Developer toolkit and sample apps, developers can build and drive highly personalized commerce applications.
