Salesforce Summer 20 – Here are the Top New Features

Salesforce Summer 20 features are now live and available for the general customers. The new release includes over 300 innovations across the Customer 360 platform to help enterprises cope up with the current market shift. Here are some of the top highlights from the latest release: 

Salesforce announced its new product in the month of May to help companies and communities safely reopen their business while putting employee health and safety first. In the latest Summer 20 release, two of the top features of Workplace Command Center and Emergency Program Management have become live. 

Workplace Command Center will help organizations assess return-to-work readiness from a single hub to reopen their workplace safely. Employee wellness, training completion, shift scheduling, and facilities preparedness can also be managed and monitored. 

Emergency Program Management is a part of the earlier announced Emergency Response Management suite of products. This product helps organizations support residents, communities, and agencies during crises by providing access to emergency information and replacing manual processes with streamlined application processes.

Service Cloud Voice

In order to enhance service agent productivity, customer satisfaction, and supervisor insights, Salesforce introduced voice into Service Cloud. Telephony channels can be integrated natively in the Service Cloud Console along with digital channels. Service agents use a single oni-channel module to accept customer interaction and with real-time call transcripts, they can connect workflows and next-best actions to the voice conversations. 

Sales Cloud: Einstein Call Coaching

With the new Einstein Call Coaching, sales reps can optimize customer interactions leveraging conversational intelligence. Managers can also get visibility into reps customer calls with the post-call insights. With Intelligent trend recognition, sales reps can create and improve strategies based on conversational trends. 


Salesforce also introduced Einstein Search and Customer Surveys to the platform. Users can design and embed surveys across customer journeys and integrate feedback to Salesforce objects to get better insight at each stage of the customer lifecycle. The power of Einstein Search will personalize search results based on a user and their work such as geography and industry. 

Healthcare & Life Science

To help healthcare service providers quickly access the disease spread and empower sales reps with clear inventory insights & the right equipment to meet current medical demands, Salesforce has rolled out a bunch of features. Sales Visit and Inventory Management empower sales reps with new visit & inventory planning tools to ensure they have the right products and resources at every visit. 


To engage shoppers and business buyers with comprehensive Commerce solutions, Salesforce’s new Commerce innovations allows users to deploy B2B Commerce with Lightning Experience in order to make it easy and fast for front end managers to run their sites quickly and stay connected to Salesforce data & processes. Apart from this, Salesforce has also introduced a set of other features & enhancements for B2C commerce customers including order management support for EMEA & ANZ, and other Order management enhancements.

Salesforce Private Connect 

With collaboration with AWS, Salesforce has introduced a secure, private communication between Salesforce and AWS. This means users can send private traffic between Salesforce and AWS regions without exposing that traffic to the public internet.

Salesforce Spring ’20 Release Highlights

Salesforce’s latest Spring ’20 Release is all set to globally available on February 17, 2020. Recently, Salesforce has given a preview of the Release to get a primary look at some of the CRM’s latest features. The new features span across mobile, industry solutions, content management, AI, and much more. 

Before going into the details, here are the top picks of Spring ’20. With Salesforce’s brand new Sustainability Cloud, Salesforce customers can gain new insights on their company’s environmental footprint. Taking the data security to the next level, Salesforce has introduced Data Mask, which will help you secure information in the Sandbox. Enabling Einstein with In-app Guidance for Lightning App Builder, you can get real-time recommendations. Apart from all these, myTrailhead for Customers & Partners has been introduced in order to help them learn Salesforce & use the CRM in order to achieve the best results.

Sales Cloud

Sales Cloud has introduced some new features which will help the users win more customers. Some of the new features are Task-Queue Assignment to assign a Task to any Queue, High-Velocity Sales Enhancement to automate more complex processes with API availability, Revenue Recognition Reports for CPQ & Billings, Social Intelligence Module to maximize sales potential powered by social data. 

Service Cloud

With the new Service Cloud features, users can build customer loyalty with every interaction. Some of the features introduced in Spring ’20 are; Einstein Article Recommendations that will recommend the best knowledge articles to agents based on case data, Channel Menu that will provide customers with easy access to multiple support channels, Field Service Lightning will now support Global Actions, Digital Engagement will enable customers to reach you through their preferred channels like WhatsApp, Einstein Bots got enhancements & it will now unlock every small detail about your chatbot sessions and review actionable insights. 

Marketing Cloud

Marketing Cloud users will now increase reach up to 50% for existing  Audience Studio Marketing Cloud integrations with better email campaigns. With Einstein Content Selection, you can use AI to select the best content and manage real-time user engagement. Empowering the Marketing Cloud Integration with Google Analytics 360, now you can see how SMS messages in journeys impact conversions and other interactions. Users can now build powerful, beautiful dashboards to visualize all marketing data with Datorama Data Canvas


Salesforce has been introducing powerful features in every new release in order to make its Analytics platform more reliable and robust. In Spring ’20 they have added new features as well as enhanced few existing features. Users can now build a predictive model in Einstein Discovery and perform what-if analysis to determine possible future outcomes. Sales managers can increase sales, improve store compliance, identify stores at risk, and support sales reps with Einstein Analytics for Consumer Goods


With Salesforce CMS Enhancements, users can now create content and surface it throughout Salesforce. Content can be added to service portals on Community Cloud, landing pages in B2C Commerce, emails sent via Marketing Cloud, and much more. With Salesforce CMS B2B Commerce, B2B Commerce sites can be enhanced with rich content built in the CMS. With Spring ’20, developers can now access API enhancement in the Lightning Platform that includes higher default daily API limits and new, usage-based entitlements for REST and SOAP API requests, ensuring key operations are not interrupted. Application developers will now have more opportunities with Lightning Scheduler as this feature has got many enhancements. 

Apart from these, With Spring ’20 other Salesforce products including App Cloud, Integration, Commerce, Industries, Communities, Small Business Essentials, Sustainability & Success Cloud has got notable enhancements and newly added features.

Salesforce Winter ’20 Release Highlights

Salesforce Winter’20 release was one of the most-awaited releases. The first phase of sandbox upgradation has already succeeded in the first release on 6th/7th September, while the second release is scheduled to happen on 11th/12th October. This release delivered extended innovations across mobile, industry solutions, and AI that will enable the CRM users to drive intelligent customer connections and deliver best-in-class experiences. 

Here are some of the top highlights from the Winter’20 release. We are going to discuss what’s new in each of the Salesforce products.

Sales Cloud

With the latest release, Sales Cloud users can now have access to a lot of new features. Sales managers can create sales cadences that branch to various outreach routes. Sales managers can also see how their sales reps are doing with more reporting features leveraging Einstein analytics including opportunity scoring model factors, Einstein Forecasting, etc. 

Sales reps can use custom fields, triggers, and workflow rules with account teams and opportunity contact roles. They can now also control what Einstein Analytics captures and syncs. Sales Cloud now offers enhanced email integrations for Google & Microsoft. With Salesforce Billing Lightning Component, customers and partners can make payments seamlessly & securely in Communities & Lightning Pages. With the Pardot activity dataset, more insights can be driven into engagement patterns.

Service Cloud

Service Cloud has introduced recommended articles for service agents to resolve customer cases faster. Field Service mobile workers can now log their hours on the go. Email, Chat, and Messaging have developed to offer better agent experience & higher productivity. WeChat and WhatsApp channels are available as pilot programs as of now. Knowledge articles can be shared using more channels now. 

New Service cloud features will help service agents see pre-chat details and pages visited by a customer before accepting chat requests. Agents can tackle the right cases first with Secondary Routing Priority. An automatic survey form can be sent to the customers after closing a case. Giving a boost to the Einstein bots, third-party natural language processing engines can be integrated.

Now you can write row-level formulas directly in the Lightning report builder. You can now create stories automatically by selecting a dataset using Einstein Discovery. Valuable insights can be available quickly with AI-powered analytics. The new Analytics Home can be used for finding, favoriting, curating, and interacting with important assets and insights. Einstein Analytics dashboards are now available in the Salesforce mobile app & data can be accessed through Search, Favorites, and Chatter.

Marketing Cloud

Marketing Cloud users can now send & track transactional text messages like purchase confirmation, receipts, password resets, and financial alerts in real-time. Marketers can now enable multichannel transactional journeys using Transactional Messaging API for Email. Journey Builder has powered with in-app messaging for mobile apps. Marketers can create and send Rich Communication Services (RCS) messages to mobile app users. With the new Einstein Send Time Optimization, marketers can use a Journey Builder activity to select the best send time for each individual email subscriber, based on their engagement history.

Commerce & Communities

Building the B2C Commerce page has become easy with drag-and-drop components. With the new on-demand sandboxes, a copy of the site can be created quickly to deploy new code, perform new integrations, apply new styles without impacting the production site. With the new Salesforce Content Management System (CMS), deliver highly engaging digital experiences to your customers, employees, and partners. In order to improve security, Salesforce has made changes in guest user org-wide defaults, record ownership, and driving guest user record access. A new sharing rule type to share data with guest users is now available.

Similarly, Health Cloud got a new provider data model that can help establish provider relationships and gain a complete view of the provider network including license, education, work history, references, professional liability coverage and more.
