Salesforce Spring ’19 Release: Everything you need to know

Salesforce’s latest Spring’19 release is focused to offer more personalized and integrated customer journeys while enabling smart work with the highest level of data insights. Here are a few of the highlights of the latest release notes which you need to know.

More tools to adopt Lightning Experience

Salesforce has introduced new tools to help you through a seamless transition to Lightning Experience. Now users can create a favorite list view in the default list. The new Lightning Scheduler will simplify appointment scheduling. Translations, new question types, and invitations will help you gain more insights from the surveys which will help you go global. The data storage limit has been increased from 1GB to 10GB. The latest release will allow you to retain your field history data up to 18 months, and up to 24 months via API.

Lightning Experience: A Smart & Intelligent User Experience

Lightning Experience is a completely reimagined interface. Even better, it’s built on Salesforce’s UI platform, so the user experience will grow and evolve with your business needs. The new Lightning Experience will offer a modern and intelligent user experience.

Salesforce Essentials

In this release, Sales Essentials and Service Essentials are combined as a single product which is called Salesforce Essentials. You can use in-app help to find resources without leaving Salesforce. Admins can add or reduce user licenses to ensure you have the right number of licenses for your team. Admins can also manage the users in the redesigned Users page in the set-up. The new voice support setup flow can be used to integrate any third-party voice support with Salesforce. You can now customize every stage of your sales process, from the top of your funnel with leads through deal closure with opportunities.

Salesforce Einstein

Salesforce Einstein will now help you work smarter. With the help of Einstein Data Insights, Einstein brings you reports on insights and contact suggestions while promoting what you get from reports. Now you can avail improved syncing, sharing, and metrics with Einstein Activity Capture, as well as Case Classification and smarter bots make users more efficient. The Prediction Builder will offer you the impact of each predictor in your model and will notify you when it’s ready.

Sales Cloud

The Spring’19 release will allow your sales reps to succeed with High-Velocity Sales. You can integrate Salesforce with your Gmail and Google Calendar in order to work faster. You can also integrate your Microsoft account with your Salesforce. The new Usage-Based Pricing in Salesforce CPQ will allow you to get more flexibility. Einstein Behavior Scoring and Campaign Insights in Pardot will align your sales and marketing team on prospect targeting.

Service Cloud

The new Einstein Case Classification will help your service agents work faster and smarter by getting field values on new cases based on past data.  Einstein Bots added support for SMS text messaging channel. The Lightning Knowledge Migration Tool will help you transit your Salesforce Classic knowledge base. You can now enjoy the new Lightning Experience support for case management tools. You can now create, update, and view service crews with an all-in-one crew management tool. This will help dispatchers work more efficiently in the dispatcher console with custom Gantt icons, improved filtering, and new color-coding options.

Analytics

Einstein Data Insights intelligently calls attention to interesting patterns in reports; no need to group, filter, or summarize. You can now gain insights from up to five report types with Lightning joined reports and can share them on a 12-column dashboard. In Communities, records can be updated directly from embedded Analytics dashboards with action menus.

Communities

Spring’19 is packed with features and enhancements for communities. Sharing relationships can be easily created between partner types such as vendors, distributors, reseller. You can integrate Google Cloud Translation API to have community members immediately translate questions, posts, comments, answers, and replies into 50 languages. Einstein Next Best Action can be used to deliver the right offer at the right time.

Financial Services Cloud

Lightning Scheduler offers you the tools to simplify appointment scheduling for your customers and prospects. Financial Services Analytics, a suite of applications with datasets, data flows, and dashboards, helps you convert data to insights faster.

Customization

Einstein Next Best Action will make your org smarter. You can now build simpler and more streamlined flows with the new Flow Builder. Connection interactions will become more easy with the new tools.

Salesforce IoT

Salesforce IoT is now offered as part of Service Cloud on Unlimited Edition. The context setup flow has been improved by the addition of a wizard to simplify the process and other features to make process navigation more efficient.

Marketing Cloud

Marketing Cloud helps you optimize your customer journeys. This allows you to create a single view of your customer leveraging data from any source. You can now plan and optimize unique customer journeys based on business objectives. Personalized content can be delivered from every channel and device at the right time. You can now measure the impact of each interaction on your business so that you can optimize your approach in real time and deliver faster results.
